Week of 9/7 - 9/13 Antonio Coleman DL Auburn University
Named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week for his performance in Tigers' 49-24 win over Mississippi State, which included a 20-yard interception return for touchdown. Represented Williamson H.S. in the 2007 All-Star Classic. Week of 9/14 - 9/20 Antwan Odom DL Cincinnati Bengals
Currently leads NFL in quarterback sacks and tied franchise record with five sacks in Bengals' victory over Packers. Former Bryant H.S. and University of Alabama star played in the 2000 All-Star Classic. Week of 9/21 - 9/27 Larry Smith QB Vanderbilt University
Threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns in Vandy's 36-17 victory over Rice. Former Alabama Mr. Football from Prattville H.S. who played in the June, 2007 All-Star Classic.
Week of 9/28 - 10/5 Roman Harper New Orleans Saints (SS) Led Saints defense with 6 tackles in a 24-10 victory over the New York Jets to give the Saints a perfect 4-0 record... Currently leads New Orleans with 29 tackles on the season... Former player from Prattville HS and played in the 2001 All-Star Classic.s
Week of 10/6 - 10/12 Chris Spencer Seattle Seahawks (C) Former first-round draft pick from Ole Miss who anchored Seahawks' offensive line in 41-0 victory over Jacksonville. Has developed into one of the NFL's best centers since representing Madison Central (Miss.) High School in the 2001 All-Star Classic.
Week of 10/13 - 10/19 Anthony Dixon Mississippi State (RB) Became MSU's all-time rushing leader with 135-yard, 2 TD effort in Bulldog victory. Represented Terry H.S. in 2006 All-Star Classic, and broke fellow All-Star Classic alum Jerious Norwood's school record of 3,212 yards.
Week of 10/20 - 10/26 Deandre Brown Southern Miss (WR) Freshman All-American and C-USA Freshman of the Year in 2008 caught TD passes of 21 and 6 yards to lead Golden Eagles to 43-6 victory over Tulane. Ocean Springs H.S. product starred in the Dec., 2007 All-Star Classic and set a USM single season record with 67 catches in 2008.
Week of 10/27 - 11/2 Anthony Dixon Mississippi State (RB)
Continued remarkable record-breaking season by setting a MSU single-game record with 252 rushing yards to lead Bulldogs to a 31-24 victory over Kentucky. A 2006 All-Star Classic product, he became MSU's all-time leading rusher earlier this year.
Week of 11/3 - 11/9 Julio Jones University of Alabama (WR) Caught four passes for 102 yards, including 73-yard game-winning touchdown catch, in Alabama's thrilling 24-15 victory over LSU. Consensus first-team freshman All-American and the SEC Freshman of the Year in 2008 represented Foley H.S. in the 2007 All-Star Classic. Week of 11/10 - 11/16 Rolando McClain University of Alabama (LB)
Led dominating Crimson Tide defense with 11 tackles, three for loss, and a sack in 31-3 victory over Mississippi State. A June, 2007, All-Star Classic product from Decatur, he currently leads Alabama with 77 tackles and is a semi-finalist for several national defensive player of the year awards.
Week of 11/17 - 11/23 Jerraud Powers Indianapolis Colts (CB) Continued outstanding rookie season with undefeated Colts in 17-15 victory over Ravens. Has started nine games, recording 44 total tackles, seven pass break-ups and an interception on the year. Former Auburn star represented Decatur in the 2005 All-Star Classic.
Week of 11/29 - Ronaldo McClain University of Alabama (LB)
Named
the 2009 SEC Defensive Player of the Year after leading Alabama to the
SEC Championship and berth in BCS title game. Butkus Award finalist who
played in 2007 All-Star Classic leads Crimson Tide with 101 total
tackles, 12.5 for loss, and four sacks.
